Contribution to the landscape Rare or Localised: A native of Venezuela and Colombia, it is a tree rare in cultivation in Victoria, grown largely for its large juvenile leaves. A very large specimen is growing in Geelong Botanic Gardens (Classified), 2 at Warnambool (Town Hall Park) and 2 in Portland Botanic Gardens.
